The Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) today issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court deciding to review the NLRB v. Noel Canning decision:
“We welcome the announcement that the U.S. Supreme Court will review the U.S Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit’s decision in NLRB v. Noel Canning. We believe the facts in this matter speak for themselves and President Obama’s ‘recess’ appointments to the National Labor Relations Board were unconstitutional, and Sharon Block and Richard Griffin are illegitimate members of the federal agency meaning it lacks a legal quorum,” said Fred Wszolek, spokesperson for the Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI). “Under President Obama, the Board has functioned as little more than an extension of Big Labor and its actions serve one purpose: reward a chief political supporter. It is our hope the Supreme Court’s engagement on this critically important constitutional issue between the executive and legislative branches finally puts to rest the cloud of uncertainty which currently exists due to the Obama Administration’s complete disregard for the system of checks and balances within the advice-and-consent clause.”
