Unions Battle Each Other With Bullying Tactics, Deny Workers A Choice For No Union | Big Labor Bailout

Yesterday, we noted that workers at United Continental Inc. voted for union representation with the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) beating out the International Association of Machinists (IAM). Unfortunately, workers were not given the option to vote for no union representation.

Now Big Labor is accusing each other of bully tactics. IAM is claiming that AFA interfered in the organizing election.

More:

The International Association of Machinists said Thursday on a campaign website that it was “investigating multiple violations of election rules” by the Association of Flight Attendants following Wednesday’s results of the United flight attendant representation election. The Association of Flight Attendants was elected to

represent the combined flight attendant group at the new United.

The IAM also said it is “weighing all available options” in the wake of the results and noted that the IAM received 9,745 votes to AFA’s

11,942.

While Big Labor battles each other’s efforts to force more workers into unions, workers stand to lose.
