In case you missed this latest clip in yesterday’s POLITICO influence:
BOCCHINI TO LABOR DEPARTMENT: United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Deputy Political Director Michael Bocchini is leaving his post for the U.S. Department of Labor. He’ll be chief of staff to Assistant Secretary Keith Kelly.
The revolving door we were promised would be closed is actually swinging wildly and Bocchini is the latest example.
This is only the most recent demonstration of the orchestrated takeover of the Obama Administration by the Big Labor bosses who bankrolled the President’s campaign. Bochini’s union spent more than six million dollars on politics last cycle and here is the “payback.” The White House is peppering the Labor Department with union bosses in a direct bid to aid their effort to force more workers into collective bargaining units.
If Bocchini’s placement at the highest levels of the Labor Department doesn’t stink of union boss patronage politics, we don’t know what does. Next up: Labor Secretary Thomas Perez?
