As 2011 comes to a close, blogs begin counting down to the new year by profiling the biggest blunders, losers and hiccups of the year. In a seemingly not surprising turn of events, Big Labor makes a cameo in these lists.
The American, an online magazine published by the American Enterprise Institute, listed Lafe Solomon as the fifth worst public figure in terms of economic impact (or lack thereof). Solomon, the pro-Big Labor activist servings as acting general counsel of the rogue NLRB, threatened economic progress by filing a complaint against Boeing’s decision to bring jobs to the right-to-work state of South Carolina. Others found with Solomon on this list include Kim Jung-il and the White House, who appointed the NLRB general counsel.
The year was full of attempts by union bosses to circumvent the system to favor its partisan agenda, which means there will undoubtedly be more of these labor radicals making it on lists as the year closes.
