Using Big Labor Cash For A Big Charlotte Convention
Senator Mike Enzi’s (R-WY) S.J. Res. 36 would have stopped the National Labor Relations Board’s “ambush election” rule in its tracks – if 54 Senators didn’t vote against it. But, beyond the muscled grip that Big Labor bosses and their lobbyists have on Congress, it comes as no surprise once you see how much loot the Democratic National Convention Committee and the Obama White House is asking for – all of it from union bosses. Recently, Senator John Thune published an op-ed on the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) ambush election rule and efforts in Congress to undo the regulation in advance of it taking effect on April 30th. This week, the U.S. Senate will vote on S.J. Res. 36, a joint resolution of disapproval, which under the Congressional Review Act has the weight of law once passed by a simple majority in both houses of Congress and signed by the president.
